i VISIT OF THE MANAGER TO I DUNEDIN. , As will be seen by the following informa* I tion, the tour now being taken by Mi .Alfred Reid, manager of . the British Antarctic expedition, is to be an- extensive one. j Mr Reid left Christahurch on January 8, and, having visited Fairlie, Hermitage, Malte Brun hut, the Mueller- glacier, Mount Sealey, arrived in DXinedin last Thursday. On Saturday afternoon Mr Reid left Port Chalmers by the Waikare for Milford Sound, which he expects to reach, on January 26. On the Monday he will' make the round of the Sound in Sutherland's 1 motor launch. On January 28 he will* visit Beach Huts and the Sutherland Falls. - On the following day (29th) he goes, over the M'Kinnon Pass to Beech Huts, and . on January 30 will arrive at - Glade House and proceed by steamer to the foot oi Lake Te Anau. From Lumsden, where ho arrives on January 31, Mr Reid, will proceed right through to Christchnrch, and spend February 2 in Wellington. He i«~due afc Onehun^a on February -4, at Auckland on "February 6, _ and at Rotorua- on February 7. After_ visiting various points of interest; in the vicinity Mr Reid returns to Wellington on February 13, and embarks for Sydney on the following day. The hotels at which Mr Reid may da found along the route are,: The Gladstone, Fairlie; Wain's, Dunedin ; Royal Oak o* Empire, Wellington; Grand,. Auckland ; Grand, Rotorua; and Meredith House, Taumarunui. * -
