REPLY TO MR MOSLEY. BOMBAY, January 15. Mr Lajpat Rai, addressing a meeting at Calcutta, announced his intention to pub- ; lish a reply to the charges of Mr Morley (Secretary for India). He urged all patriots to .unite against, the common, enemy, and to fight an unyielding battle. The condition of India- was one of political slavery. Surendranath Banerjee, who presided, described Mr Lajpat Rai's deportation early last year as an insult to the whole country. Lajpat Rai, who was deported to Mandalay in May last, was the organiser, financier, and inspirer of considerable seditious violence.
