(FkOU OVB, OWK COBRESPONDENT.) WELLINGTON, January 20. Mr G. P. Donnelly, of Hawke's Bay, has through the Hon. the Minister of Agriculture presented the Dominion with 25 purefored shorthorn heifers, which have oeen carefully seleoted from his herds for thejr prospective vijjne as dairy cows. Their destination is the Ruakura Experimental Station, where they will be mated with imported bulls from the most approved seiiif^f strain^ Mr CliifcQA, Chief In-
spector of Stock, and Mr D. M. Boss, Inspector in charge of Hawke's Bay district, who recently inspected the animate, have expressed to the Minister of. Agriculture in terms of satisfaction _ in regard to their appearance and quality. It is hoped that Mr Donnelly's generosity may prove an inspiration to other stockowners to act similarly, to the ultimate advantage of the dairying industry of New Zealand.
