' It was reported that a motor car had passed over "the. bridge to.-Wavexlsy . on the Beach road in contravention of the board s by-law No. i. — The -district constable wrotethat he was instructed by his inspector to ask the board f<>4 a copy of the ,by-law;C'a"nd authority to act -d.n the 'same. — Resolved,- that the' request be granted, and tEat the constable -be given full power to act in the matter. Jchn M'Cartney appeared, asking the board to repair the footbridge over the creek in. Sco4t ratreet. Portobello towtfahip.— l/eft in the hands of the subdivisional member to act. A circulai was read from Patangata County Council, asking the board not to officially acknowledge the visit of Mr Keir Hardie. — Received. i< . ~ .
