NEW ZEALAND BUTTER IN LONDON. WELLINGTON, December 30.
- The ahef to the Prince of Wales inspected an exhibit of New Zealand butter at the Cookery and Food Exhibition at Westminster recently, and expressed "J:he highest appreciation " of the quality, writes Mr H. C. Cameron, Produce Commissioner to the Department of 'Industries .and Commerce.. "Unfortunately under present conditions," adds Mr Cameron, " I regret that it is quite impossible to toll those inquiring whore retail purchases of genuine New Zealand butter can be made. That butter is not retailed as New Zealand, but simply as 'colonial,' which term embraces all butter from Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, etc. No guarantee, therefore, can be given that New Zealand butter will be obtained when asked for. The sale of ' milled butter ' or other secondary New Zealand butter as ' New Zealand ' also does not help to advance v the reputation of the produce of the Dominion. The advertising and retail distribution of New Zealand butter in this country is a subject well worthy of the attention of the National Dairy Association."
