All Nominations and Acceptances must be in the hands of the Secretary, Dunedin, before 9 p.m. on their respective dates, and contain entrance money, description and age of horse. The jockey's colours, those registered excepted, must be stated in the entrance form, under a penalty of 2sovs., which, while unliquidated, will disqualify any horse whose owner or nomination has incurred such a penalty. Wiien two t or more horses start the property of the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. Any person neglecting this rule to be fined 2sovs. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required i o sign the Secretary's book to that effect at least half-an-hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 20sovs to the Race Fund. In Selling Hack Races rule 142 not to apply. In estimating penalties, all races other than handicaps shall be considered weight-for-age races. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered. This sum to be forfeited to the Funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme for expenses. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision <jn all points connected with the carrying out of Programme shall be final. Entries received only under these conditions. In all races Non-starters forfeit previous payments only. All entries should be made on the Club'a Pbdjted Forms of Entry, which may be obtainad from the Secretaries of the Dunedin, Canterbury, Wellington, and Auckland Clubs.
