"Premier Magazine." With the December issue appears Frederick Davie's great new story "Tangled Clues." This is a long complete story of the sea that is remarkable for its rapidity of action and intricacy of plot.- Who killed Harvel Kendington is a question that bailies the reader until almost the last page is reached. "Tangled Clues," in spite of its lsngth. is a story that will be read at a sitting. "The Activities oi Monty Pemberton," by Henry J. Fidler. Here is an amusing comedy story, introducing the inestimable Moore,' •' iit: tleman's Gentleman." Mr. Fidler, who won high favour with his "Roland*' series, displays in this new series a. sense of humour that is enjoyable indeed. Many other stories by popular writers make this a most notable number of the "Premier Magazine. -*' "The Detective Magazine." -'-■:';! The November 23rd issue is a most outstandingly good number. "The Mind of the Magistrate "by J. A. R.' Cairns (the well-know- Metropolitan Magistrate). Here you have light shed on a usually unknov.u quantity. "And His Xaiao'wa- Jchr.," an adventure into realms of historical fantasy- which is a novel experience, and a capital story by F. M. Ke!!y. 3lany other interesting articles make '.hi* a real good number of "The Detective Magazine."
