A YEAR'S BIRTHS; DEATHSoAND MARRIAGES.The vital statistics for Levin for the year 1923 show a slight deorcasa in births and marriage* and a similar increase in the number of deaths us compared with the returns of 1923. Births make up a total of 99,. a i'aliing'\off of S as' compared with the previous year, and of 16 against the total of 115 in 1920. Deaths totalled 30 as against 27 in 1922. This is tho largest .number since 1919. when the same figures were leeorded. JUarri-; ages are six short of the previous year—23 as against 29. The statistics lor the last lour years are:—
