An interesting game was played at Paraparaumu on Saturday, when Otaki defeated the home team on a one-in-nings' game by 22 runs. The fielding of the visitors, at times, was weak, but eventually players got busy and in consequence three of the "Pram players were run out. Tom Parata was Paraparaumu's best batsman, whilo Giblin was Otaki's most successful bowler. Sievers and Johnson batted splendidly for the visitors, compiling 15 and 17 runs respectively. The "Pram" ladies supplied afternoon tea, which was much appreciated by the visitors. ' Scores are as follows: — Paraparaumu—lst innings. Caterer, run out, 11 H.
