MONEY HANDED TO COUNCIL. TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY! The committee has gone to some trouble to ascertain the wishes of the various spurts’ bodies and would be glad if the Council will expend the mon’ey so far as such is practicable, in the direction authorised in their letter to you of 13th September last. Assuring you of the committee’s willingness to assist the Council, in having the domain made a credit to the town and to provide for all classes of sports. —We are, dear Sir, yours faithfully, J. P. BRANDON, Chairman, H. WITCHELL, Treasurer.” In view of the resolution passed by the Council some time back, that thcsections facing Mill -Eoad hp purchased out of the carnival funds, the voting at the Council meeting to be held tomorrow will he interesting.
