BURGLARIES AT LEVIES

On Tuesday evening two business premises in Oxford Street (Messrs Harvey and Co.’s furniture depot and Parker and A'incent’s hardware and gene al merchants), were broken into, in e eh ease access being gained by breaking a pane of glass in a rear window and undoing the catch. Practically nothing was stolen. From the amateurish nature of the attempt it would appear that the work in I oih instances was that of a boy or youth, a further indication of this fact being that . the window through which access was gained to Messrs Harvey and Co.’s premises was only 12 x IS inches in size and even then the whole of the glass had not been removed.
