Mr. Andrew Bowman, who has been in the Otaki hospital for some time, has been discharged, much benefitted. It is probable that Mr. Peter 1-Taser, M.P. for Wellington Central, will give an address at Otaki at an early date. Mr. James Buchan, who, has been a resident of Wellington for some time, died at the Otaki Hospital to-day, aged •15 years.

Don Lay. youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. .!. Lay. Te Horo, who underwent a serious operation at Meniere Private Hospital on Saturday, is progressing favourablv. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Brandon, who have been in Wellington for the pas. week or so, arrived home last night. It is gratifying to know that Mr. Brandon is much improved in health.

Luring the time he was ,n Otaki Mr. Bennett proved very courteous, efficient, and obliging. A lad named Craven, son of Mr. *■• Craven, of Te Horo, met with a nasty accident last night. While riding his bicycle he ran foul of a motor-car with the result that he was knocked over and injured. His k was cut, necessitating several stitches. The lad is now in Mouterc private hospital, and is reported to be doing well.
