CROQUET.
Croquet players indulged in splendid games on Saturday, the green being very good. Competitions were played and resulted as follows: — Golf croquet, Mis. Hughes (Levin) I; consolation awarded to Mrs. ['ink : Levin). French croquet. Mrs. Noble (Otaki; I. Hitting peg, Mrs. Nicholson (Levin) 1. Trophies for the above were generously given by Mrs. Witchell and Mis. Bills. On the 10th several plavers will journey to Levin to be present a, (he opening there.
