The letter suggested "‘That owing to the enormous amount oi damage done to County roads caused by heavy motor traffic in carting benzine, etc., together with the loss of revenue to the Railway Department, and in order to minimise the said damage and loss, the Railway Department Ire asked to consider the reduction of freights on the above mentioned goods at the earliest possible moment.” Tlie chairman considered the letter ! should be supported and moved ae--1 eordingly.
