A Native, named Mark, of Waikanae, aged 50 years, died at the Otaki hospital this morning. Mr. J. Smith, at one time a blacksmith at Manakau, has taken over the Imperial Hotel at "Wanganui. Miss Ruthorfurd, of the stall of the Ilutt County Council, resumes duties this week after a month's holiday spent is Svdney.
Mr. C. G. Rldmes, well-known in Otaki where he managed a business for sometime, was a passenger to Wellington on Monday night. Mr. Rhimes is now “mine host*’ of the Criterion Hotel in Wanganui.
