RECORD IN RATS.
ROCKHAMPTON. August IS
Some time ago a rat measuring 23 i inches was caught at \\ ooloornooloo, and which was re.port.ed__ to be the largest ever captured in aydney. Testerdav the rat gang of the Rockhampton City Council Captured a larger rat, measuring 25J inches. The tail of the local rat was 'h inches long. TSie rat had a thick covering of fur an inch long.
