The engagement is announced of Mr. frank Best, of Te Horo, and Mi*s Helen Harris, of Maharahara (Hawke's Bay). Miss Elderton, of Otaki. will be among the competitors at the Dunedin competitions. The death occurred on Friday night. at the residence of Mr. \V. Fielding, of Mr. -tames Watt, aged 79 years, lather of Mrs. Fielding. The funeral took place yesterday. •
Mr. A. T. Clark. A.C.A. (England) chartered accountant England and Wales, of the firm oi" Claude Monzios, Griffin and Ross, public accountants. Wellington, is paying a visit K> Otaki to-day on private business. Mr. Clark is one of the I'vw chartered accountants of England, in New Zealand, and was engaged in many accountancy in vest igat ion's bv the British Government before he came to New Zealand. Mr. Clark is also the official accountant to the Wellington Gil?- Council.
