* The Secretary of the Otaki Club hw received a letter from the Alnnawatu Ladies’ Golf Club stating they are unable to send a team Hi o’aki as arranged on Saturday, owing to many of their players having influenza. The following will leave by the early train on Saturday on a visit to the Hull Club: —Si overs, Higginson, AVi.ilsx_ D’Ath, F. S. Sirncox fCapt.j. p. Sirneox. Lea. O’Rourke, Ai. Sirncox. A*more and Dr. sharp. A train for the Hurt leaves Wellington shortly after they arrive. Airs. Holme- is playing a very strong game. In the first round of the championship .-he v. as drawn against Mr.-.. R. AI. D'Ath, last year'- champion, and she emerged after a keen contest victorious, at the same time winning the August medal handicap with a nett -eore of 71. thirteen strokes* under the bogey or the course, nun followed this up bv winning the biTp!f bogey hand;cap last Saturday, being 0 up on the Colonel. Sjiini.ox returned the best* ear : r: the bisque bogey handicap played on Saturday. I down. He finished very trongly after using all his bisques. Ie halved the last four holes.
