THE OTAKI CLUB. i The best cards returned in the last bogey competition were Brown, 1 up. and Blackburn, all square. In tile ladies’ competition Miss Brandon was the winner, J. up. Last Saturday a medal round was played. Mrs. Sicvers was the winner amougst the ladies, returning an excellent card of PI2-2S-M. There was a tie iti the men’s competition between D’Ath, Ul-lt.i-81, and Smith, 93-12-Sl. The latter played from just outside the green, hit the play stick and incurred a penalty of two strokes. Playing in the first round of the ' championship on Saturday, W eils and D’Ath had a keen contest which ended at the 20th hole in the victory of the former by a put. Next Saturday FeUding is sending a team to Otaki for the iiist time. The following are requested to be at the links not. later than 1 p.ui.:—Mrs.Lea, Mrs. R. M. D’Ath, Mrs. Holmes, Mrs.! Mackenzie. Mil’s. W. M. tSimcox. Miss Brandon, Mrs. Sic vers, Miss Booth and Dr. At more, Messrs Gray, Sievers, Holmes, Hopkins, Higginson, Kirk, Wells, D’Ath, Smith, O'Rourke. Brown, Lea, Harper, Blackburn, tf. M. Lethbridge, and Mackenzie. Lunch will be ready for both teams at. 12.30 p.m. and the match will start immediately after wards, it will be a general tea day. The Holmes challenge silver buttons, donated to the ciub for the net! score each month, were won last month by Mr. and Mrs. Sice ere. These players badly require the handienpper’s services.
