— 9 MONTHLY MEETING. At the last' meeting of the above a letter was received from the V. and T. Department, stating that an extensionof telephone hours on •Sundays would entail an expenditure of £25 to the Chamber. —Received. Air. Dunklcy considered that a steam roller was needed for the Borough roads, Iml the matter was one left in obevunce. Air. lleald spoke on the matter of proposed alterations at the .State School red expressed a hope that the additions ould lie adequate. It was agreed that ■ 1 e building at present was far from up-to-date. It was decided to write to the Borough Council and ask for bettor lighting iu connection with" the open drains. j The Shannon Chamber of Commerce j wrote, relative to centralising rep. foot- ' ball matches and objected to the luiion’s action in desiring all matches l al Levin —Decided to secure further information on the matter. The question of freight on hardwood limber was discussed. Iml it was decided to swcurc more information on the matter before Inking action. . |
