Provincial Grand Master for the , Wellington district, assisted bv a num- . her- of Grand .'Lodge officers. The building is not only a credit to the : town but to the whole of the district, being we understand the first structure of its kind in the Wellington district to be erected in brick. Mr w. Jamieson. 'of Palmerson North, was the architect responsible for the plans and the work of construction was carried out bv Mr G. K. i Douglas, of Levin. The beautv of the interior i s greatly enhanced'by the i furnishings, ©3l manufactured ' froin I magnificently grained New Zealand ; timbers by Messrs Harvey 'and Co., Ltd. These were on view in their show window n, few weeks ago. The local Lodge was established some 19 years ago, but suffered a serious set. ; back by a. fire some eleven yeairs back.
