OTAKI STATE SCHOOL.
To the Editor. Sir, —In spite of the ardent enthusiasm displayed nt the animal hous*holders' meeting held in April at tha drastic need of better accommodation for the children attending the State school, the monthly committee meeting had to, lapse for want of a quorum on Monday night. It may be that the weather conditions had something' to do with it; but when those who arc "in the know" are aware of the fact that our chaldron and teachers, in such weather are, per force, huddled together in unsanitary ': conditions, or brave the elements in I shelter sheds like so many sheep, snrely la letter of apology to those who turn ' up to do their duty would be an act of «ourtcsy at least.—l am. etc., War. J. BARLOW, Sec. .School Committee.
