A MOTOR TRIP.
IN INTERESTS OF MARKETGARDENERS. The reliable Nash, with kit Neil Olsen as chaffeur, and with Mr Waliingion and two Chinese representatives of the ntarkeft-gardeners of this district, returned to Otaki on Friday night, after a successful trip through the Horowhonua. Manawatu, Wanganui, Taranaki, Hawli.es’ Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington districts. Mr Wailingtou at various places pointed out what he and other market-gardeners thought was a grave injustice by auctioneers to growers. and asked that all combine to tight the matter. Mr Wellington was assured of assistance throughout, and his trip was regarded as a highly satisfactory one. In all the “Nash” covered about one thousand miles with one slight puncture only, therefore the trip was looked upon as enjoyable as well as successful. Tlie weather, however.
was not good. The roads throughout Taranaki were regarded as the best, while it was found that the thoroughfare of Horowhenua compared very favourably with roads i:i other parts. The Butt County roads were found to be the worse, but the travellers speak highly of the manner in which the Rimutaka road lias been improved.
