BEACH QUEEN. Among the further donations for art union purposes to assist The Beach queen (Miss Edna Cotterell) are two German drinking steins of earthenware, and two valuable original etchings by famous artists, donated by Mr A. .!. (.'lark. of Otaki Beach. The drinking steins are very valuable, be-
ing ancient works uf art. and practically unprocurable al the preseut day. Airs Hopkins, of Bangiuru, is also painting a picture in oils to be donated ;,, the same purpose. The Committee of the Beach queen desire to thank the donors for their generosity. RAILWAY QUEEN. A meeting to further the candidature of Miss F. Bevan (Railway queen) was held on Monday night, when a programme was also mapped out to be put before the executive meeting to-night. A meeting in connection with the Railway Queen wll be held on Friday. when ail interested arc invited to attend. See advertisement. MAORI QUEEN. Miss Webber, of Rnpiti. !.a- consented to become Maori queen, and preparations are now being made to submit an attractive programing.
