BLUE TRIANGLE COMMUNITY CLUB.
OPENING SOCIAL,
Tlxe opening of the above Club tooK place iu the Y.W.C.A. room last Thursday evening., when a most enjoyable party was given by the girls. The room, which had been artistically decorated by Misses Maidie and Janet Smith and” Beatrice Keall, was gay with coloured paper and balloons, giving it a very festive appearance. A piano, which had been lent for the occasion, added greatly to the enjoyment and success of the evening, and special thanks is due to the willing helpers who so kindly carried it from the school ( to the hall. Singing, dancing, and j games to music were indulged in by all, as well as some interesting competitions arranged by Miss Beatrice Keall. The winners of the competitions wore:—Word building, Mrs Stable first, Mrs Kempton second; proverbs, 'Miss Janet Smith first; pea-nut race, | Misses Dorothy Smith and Doris Champion first (equal). Luter in the evening a delicious nipper was served by Misses Maude Elderton and Joan Perj cival, assisted by a committee. Great credit is due to the girls for the success of the evening, as it is the first party they have given all by them selves. It easily eclipsed any previous one.
