The Oluki Native College "broke up" to-day for three weeks' holiday. Mr W. Ay re, soil of Mr Mark Ayre, is au inmate of the Otaki hospital. The members of the Hult CJun Club expect to pay a visit to Otaki about the end of the month to indulge in a shoof \vith the local Club. Messrs Taylor Bros.' application lor a land agent's license has been granted. Mr Atmorc appeared in support of the application. A billiard tournament is now in progress ai Otaki Railway. Keen interest is being displayed on account of the large number of entries, which total eighty. Mr Daymau, Kaltina's right hand mail, addressed u meeting of Natives :tt Otaki last night, and made an appeal to all to sign Katana's book, which had been re-ojiened. The benefits of signing v, ore advanced. The United Football Club's short night dance, held la-t night, although not largely attended, proved very enjoyable. The floor was in fine order, while music by the Rikibana orchestra was appreciated, U'j Jsicholls was M.C. Dancing lessons for children commenced on Tuesday last ii, the Town Hall, when there was a fair attendance. Lessons will be give, each Tuesday and Friday at 3.30, and it is hoped all children will avail themselves of the opportunity to learn.
