FORESTERS' BALL.
The Waikanae Foresters held their first grand Ball in the meeting-house on Friday, 27th in.-t. The night turned out a splendid one for dancing and fully forty couple.-, were on the floor, which was in splendid order. Excellent music was supplied by Mr G. Htui/tdEg* tyiolin) a.-;d Mis.- Hixt'iA/mgH ,'pianoj. Extra- w.jre played by. Mr? Parata. Mi's Parara, and Mr Nicholson. Messrs Barrett and A. Cqe tiiade efficient M'-. C. The catering was in the hands of Mr WiHiar.-.s. r j LeviD, tir_d was a ere: 'lit to that gentleman. Visiting Forester* wore present from various places, while kindred societies were represented by Messrs Hagan and Cook (Druids). During the evening Messrs Nielsen, ar.d F. Monk, in neat speeches, conveyed the thanks of the patrons and visitors: Messrs Hsgarr and Cook suitably replied. Great credit is due to the e&minittee for the successful function, also to their indefatigable Secretary. Mr J. G. Campion.
