"-The Secretaries who did such fine work at the queen carnival dance were Mrs Gawler and Mrs Askc'lown. Both worked splendidly, while credit is also due to Mr V. Cottle who gave the use of his car gratis for the pleasure of visitors. The Lilac queen is now leading, with Primrose second. Rose third, and violet next. Altogether, so far, over £BO has been raised. A euehre tournament was held in aid of the Violet queen on Friday, when prizes were won by Miss Bills and Mr N.
