HALF-HOLIDAY QUESTION.
To The Editor. Sir,—l agree with "Fair Play" that ■ ; employees should have a little consideration. Employers govern all the week, i but why dictate as to which day the j holiday shall be. The employer makes the money, therefore has the good time, i while the poor employee is bustled from pillow to post, and then an endeavour : made to rob him of a well-earned rest. Give him Saturday off and allow him to take a little recreation. If Wednesday ■ half-holiday he could get as fa* as the i railway station—not to Manakau a-. the trains don't suit.—l am, etc., MICKEY.
