THE HALF-HOLIDAY.
Local business men are rather perturbed at the position of affairs regarding the observance of the half-holiday in Otaki. For some rime Saturday has been the fixed holiday, but, generally, business men are adverse to continuing, stating that Wednesday is the better day from various points of view. On the otker hand some favour Saturday. Matters, however, will be" settled next week whea a vote wiii be takea ; sxd in fairness to ail it is coped -cere ~lii be a heavy poiiirg.
