OTAKI ATHLETIC CLUB.
V~ A meeting of the Committee of the Otaki Amateur Athletic Club was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Friday night, Mr H. Witched presiding. There were also present: Messrs W. H. Reynolds, K Bergh, M. H. Ayre, Harold Taylor, G. Siddolls, A. W. Broadway, 11. Nicolson, J. Fairley, L. Mills (secretary). Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, after which the Secretary submitted his bal-ance-sheet, which showed a credit, after paying accounts of £2O odd—held over for a year—of £1 ss. The Chairman, Mr Broadway, and others, considwed the satisfactory state of affairs die to the energies of the Secretary. It was decided to pay all accounts,
while Messrs liraudon and Reynolds j were appointed to sign cheques. The Secretary suggested that the Centre lie asked to s*t aside December iiOtli for the next sports meeting, and after due consideration this was agreed to, while it was decided to hold the annual meeting of members in September. The question of holding a series of dances was discussed, but it was deemed advisable to have one only—in June for preference. Arrangements for this
will be made later. Hearty votes of tlinnks were accorded Mrs Reynolds (refreshment stall), the members of the Otaki Brass .Band, Messrs Howell (Paraparaaniu), Messrs Watson and Procter (Levin) donors ef trophies and others who had assisted.
