e Js'ew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd., report:—The fortnightly sale of sk’ns, hides, tallow, etc., was held on Friday. There was a good attendance of buyers who competed eagerly for all sheepskins at a slight advance on last sales rates. Hides and calfskins were in good demand at a small advance on last sales prices. Tallow was in better demand than for some time, and advanced Is to 2s per cwt. Sheepskins:—Half bred lid to lid, tine Crossbred Hid to 121 d, medium to coarse Crossbred "id to llid,
short to half wools 3.? d to 10}d, lambs ■l:■d to 12jd. dead and damaged Crossbred 4d to Did, inferior and badly damaged Id to 64d, pelts did to 'id, damp, salted and green 1/9 to S/<3, pelts, salted (Id to 3/4, lambs, salted "/.'l to 5/2.
