CROQUET AND THE DOMAIN.

To The Editor. _ Sir, —Kindly allow- me space in your issue to congratulate the ladies on their effort to secure croquet greens on the domain-—all cities and many progressive country towns now- have their municipal croquet and tennis, lawns, therefore I feel sure our Council will not turn the proposal down. Half an acre will not be missed by footballers or cricketers, instead they will find pleasure that their wives find the Domain such a popular rendezvous. J know a number of country residents, and quite a sprinkling of men, who are most anzious to join, apart from summer visitors to the town. —I am, etc., ONLOOKER.
