Hautere (tite holders) suc--1 deeded in adding another to the many limes which they have won this cup, lor which they hold an almost unbroken record, Upper Hull being second, with l.evin and Ngatiawa close : up. The day was line, with a very strong wind, which hadly treat the 1 most experienced marksmen, the onl\ : bright spot being Maekersey’s 34 at :!()it yards for Upper IT utt. Three trophies were allotted by the Executive to the three highest aggregates in the ;;np and Field Shield, and were won as follows: — | F. Whiteman (Upper Hint,. 91—87 I 178, £1 1/. i Luke Whiteman (Upper Hutt), 93 — ! 84—176, 13/. | X. Taylor (Hautere), 91—84—175, 8/. ! Muekersey (Hautere) also made 175, but Taylor’s finish at the 000 yards irt both contests was much the better. The ladles of the district supplied refreshments, and a very pleasant day was spent.
