To The Cditor. .'iir, —In the ''Otaki Mail" report on water for power (March Sth) the clerk is reported as saying that " Otaki's -i pply would be as good as that at Levin." From the settling tank to within three-quarters of a mile of Levin Borough the water main is ll'-inch, and from thence 10-inch in diameter, while the Otaki main from lank to Borough boundary, 13 miles, is S-inch, > \ S —<H; Levin I' l \ 1" —100, or ever 50 per cent, greater currying capacity. —I am, etc., OBSERVER.
