KILLED ON CRICKET FIELD
LAD'S SAD DEATH. Christchurch, March 17. At the inquest on Seton Kyle, aged 17, who was injured in a cricket match at St. Andrew's College on Wednesday, another pupil gave evidence that he jumped for the bail without seeing Kyle, and his knee struck Kyle, who appeared io be winded. Dr. Thomson said Kyle's livei was badly ruptured, practically pulped, but as there were no signs ol haeinmovhage, he deemed it inadvisable to operate, and the only treatment was to withhold food and give morphia.
A verdict of death from misadventure by an accidental collision on the cricket held was returned.
