Mr G. 11. M. McClure was among the visitors to this district yesterday. Mrs R. Creed, who lias been on a six weeks' \i.-il to Ouncdin. returned to .Mauakau last night. Mr George Ay re, of the Wunganui Harbour Board, and bio,her to Mr M. 11. Ayre, was among the visitors to Otaki to-day. Miss .1. b'wart. matron of the Southland Hospital al Imeretugill, is a visit oi to Otaki and is the guest of Dr. Atmore. Air Kikiiiaiin '" Bunny "i Carkeck, a useful member of the Otaki Borough Council, leaves shortly to take up residence in the South Island.The death of Miss Ethel Casey, whu had a gieat many friends in Otaki. occurred tit the residence of liei father. Mr P. Casey, Waterloo road, Lowei Hutt. Mis.-, Casey was bom in Wellington, and went to the Hint when only live years of age. she was an earnest worker in church and social affairs, and will be greatly missed by those who have been accustomed to working with her. During one of the organising campaigns in which she was leader her health gave way. and she was for some t into ;il (he sanatorium al Otaki. returning to her home at the ! J tit t recently.
