In many eases milk was streaming from the teats. Several members agreed that there was it good deal of cruelty, and it was mentioned that the state of the animals had cxciled public comment. Mr S. I!. I.ancestor opposed the motion on the ground that it would render the work of the stewards- altogether too gieat. At. the same time he agreed that .something should he done. Kvefilrially an amendment, moved by Mr \V. I', laeoli. was carried, that it in tile opinion ol the judge, a cow had m.t been properly milked out the night prior to judging, he might disqualify the animal.
