FORESTERS’ LODGE OPENED. Wednesday night was a notable occasion at AVaikanae, when a Foresters’ Lodge, Court Julius, 9SG6, was duly established. There was a large attendance of visiting brethren. The Wellington district was represented by D.C.IL Bro. Clark, D.T. Bro. Shapoott. D.S. Bro. Travers, P.D.C.IL
Bro. Mark; D.S.W. Bro. Carr, D..1.W. E. E. .Stoupe, C.R. Bro. Sutherland (Court Loyal Northland), and D.S.B. Bid. W. 11. Wilson. Seventeen members of Court Pride of Levin were present. The Court was opened in (tie usual
tonn, D.C.H. Bro. Clark being in the chair, amt the dispensation was read. Sixteen new members were initiated by Bro. Clark, ably assisted, by P.IJ. C. Bro. T. Mark. Alter the initiation, P.D.C.R. Bro Mark moved that ihe Foresters' Fire be given. This was led off by Bro. D. T. Bro. Siiapeolt. | D.C.IL Bro. Clark addressed the new lodge, and urged the members to support their lodge and advance its interests to the best of tTTeir ability. He also eulogised Bro. A. J. Nielsen’s ef-
forts in founding the lodge, showing how .the “password” did good work when enthusiasm was behind it. D.C.R, Bro. Mark congratulated the Court on its very satisfactory opening, and impressed on the new members to take keen interest in their Court and not to forget the social side, which in a country lodge meant so much towards success, ■District Treasurer Shupcott in a tew remarks wished Court Julius every
success, and District Secretary Travers expressed pleasure at being present on such an important occasion. The congratulations of Court pride of Levin were expressed by C.B. Bro. Bussell, who complimented Bro. Noilsen on bis efforts in forming the lodge. Bro.
