Mr and Mrs H. Symouds, of Carterton, left for home to-day, after an enjoyable stay at Otaki. Mr H. AVitcliell, manager of the Bank of New Zealand, is at present on annual leave. His place is being tilled by Mr RennellMessrs J. W. Hodgson. W. Sorenson, J. tidy, F, Zillwood, and A. Anderson made an ascent of Alt. Holdswortli on Sunday. Mr and Mrs W. 11. Bowden expect to leave for Australia, on holiday, in (March. They will probably visit the •South Island fust. Nurse Paterson, who lias been u resident of Otaki t'or some time, leaves tomorrow for the north, whole s he will take up her residence. At a later date she hopes to return to the Guuth Island.
