CAR WRECKED BY TRAIN.

COLLISION ON LEVEL CROSSING. Christcnurcb, February 8. The Culverden-Christchurch train ran into a motor-car driven by Hugh Henderson, a returned soldier settler, at a level crossing near Ashley township this evening. The car was struck with great force, swung right round. and hurled against a fence a complete wreck. Henderson and his father, who was riding with him, scrambled out of the wreckage without injury other than a few bruises and scratches on the face. The car was only bought a week ago. It was insured in the Yorkshire office for £350.
