FOXTON CLUB'S SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY.
The Foxton Racing Club's diamond jubilee- meeting on January 20 and ZZ is getting near at hand, and promises to be a bigger attraction this year than ever. Foxton has one of those courses that have a natural grandstand, with a pretty background of trees, and retains a pleasing feature in that patrons make the outing a picnic as well as a sporting fixture, and the whole combines to make the meeting specially enjoyable. The course is excellently appointed, and the services of the Palmerston North Municipal Band have been retained to supply the musical programme. With the inclusion of the Diamond Jubilee Cup, the racing should be good, and there appears nothing to mar the success of this ever-popular gathering.
It is expected that the Wairarapa Racing Club will make a profit of £llOl over its New Year meeting.
