SPECIAL CONSTABLES TO BE APPOINTED. At last night’s meeting of the Otaki Borough Council tbe question of cycling on footpaths and excessive driving of motor cars was discussed, and it was agreed that there was only one way of dealing with the matter, namely,., that of appointing special constables. It was agreed that the expense Ulcered would soon be made up by lines. It was resolved that the mutter be left to the Works Committee with a recommendation that special constables bo appointed.
