OTAKI POLICE DISTRICT
l *“ | ANOTHER OFFICER NECESSARY. I A representative deputation from the 1 di strict between Manakau to Paekakariki will leave for Wellington to-mor-row to wait on the Commissioner of Police with a request that another officer be appointed to the Otaki district. The Otaki police district comprises a large area, and the increased volume of work necessitated thereby has outgrown the limits that can be served by one official. The deputation will suggest to the Commissioner that the Otaki district shall take in from Manakau to Paekukariki, and that Constable Satherley’s services be retained in Otaki as at present and the second constable employed on night duty and in utI tending to the outside districts.
