AMERICANS TO BE PRESENT. Great interest is being taken in the Sports to be lield at Paraparaumu on New Year's Day. especiallvas some ox the Americans will be competing, also ladv amateurs or ellington, besides Messrs H. E. V.'iison and Munro. The ladies will engage in a special event — a sprint of 120 yards, prizes 30s and 15s. while Munro is expected to give an exhibition of javelin throwing. Entries are strong and an enjoyable day should result. In the evening a danee wilt be held. See special advertisedent.
