LYRIC PICTURES.

TO-NIGHT. "THE MAN UNDER COVER." "The Man Under Cover." the main feature attraction at the Lyric Pictures to-night, starring Herbert Rawlinson, is a remarkable picture of real life written by a mun who has lived it; •tarred in by one of the screen's most virile actors, and directed by the maker of a series of the greatest melodramatic photo-plays ever offered. The supporting programme is of the highest standard and includes a clever Lee Moran comedy "Rubber Neck," also Eileen Sedgwick and George Larkin in the thrilling serial "The Terror Trail," and the full-of-interest "International News,"

"KAZAN." TO-MOEEOW (SATTJEDAY) AT 2.30 AND 8 P.M. Perhaps the greatest animal and human interest story ever screened is the picture version of James Oliver Curwood's, "Kazan," commencing at the Lyric Pictures to-morrow, at 2.30. The extraordinary spectacles projected iu this picture, certainly beggar description—the remarkable performance of a dog, acting more human than brute, and the realistic battle of two persons, one a girl, with an attacking pack of hungry wolves constituting some of the high lights which one could never forget. Another outstanding feature of this production is the quite unusual photography, many of the scenes of the snow-clad Canadian North-west constituting the zenith of pictorial perrection. The loealo Of "Kazan" is in the Far North, and "Kazan" is the half-savage dog who turns against all men after the murder of his master. But, be is befriended by a girl, Joan Raddison. and never forgets her kindness. How he repays this kindness by three times saving her from the wolves, both brute and human, and becomes the instrument which brings her love and happiness is unfolded, in one ot the most ' remark - ably compelling photodramas of the age. Sfnooky, the Humanzee, is appearing on the same programme in "Snooky's Wild Oats," without doubt the finest comedy this almost human monkey has given m. The latest Pathe Gazette and the superb musical programme by the Lyric orchestra pro* vide a wonderful two and a half hours entertainment. The box plan for "Kazan" is now open at Lowry's.
