CONFIRMATION SERVICE.

Xotwithstanding the inclement weather there were large congregations, at both masses at St. Mary's Church yesterday. His Grace Archbishop Bedwood celebrated the " a.m. mass. At 2 o 'clock a very large congregation assembled, when the Archbishop administered tn-r sacitment of confirmation to B.j candidate*-. Prior to the ceremony Hi.- Grace gave a short instruction. The candidates for confirmation, seated in the front of the church, presented a pretty spectacle, the girls in beautiful white dropses and wreaths, and the boys wearing white saehe? tied with red bows. The ceremony concluded with the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The singing was excellent. "O Salutaries Hostia" was very pleasingly rendered by Miss Kilsby and Mr Walsh, while Mrs Fisher ably presided at the organ.
