NO-TOBACOO LEAGUE.
The American No-Tobacco League held its annual convention to-day and tossed a resolution denouncing tobacco and culling upon all State Legislatures to pas: laws 'safeguarding the inalienable rights of non-smokers," and prohibiting the advertisement of tobacco through ncr.-apapers and periodicals. The resolution declares, "Non-smok-ers have the inherent right to breathe pure air, uncontaminated by the poisonous fumes of tobacco smoke." It condemns the movie industry for showing pictures with the leading characters actually appearing to enjoy cigars, cigarettes and pipes.—London "Daily •Stall," August 18th. Thii is just what will happen in this country if the liberty-killing, joyless fanatics who are trying to persuade you that prohibition is a fine thing, have their way.
