OUR TELEPHONES.
•To the Editor. ] Sir —It is with reluctance that I write these few lines, but owing to . lack of courtesy by the telephone boys j I am forced to complain of their be-j haviour, which is not- of the best a, times, while the tedious delays are verv annoying. It is a common thing to ring several times before reply, and I for one wish the defect remedied without delay. I am not a growler, but still the present state of affairs makes me. discontent and inclined to sever connection with the exchange. I trust this letter will do good, and that the lads at the exchange will be more courteous and prompt than | they have been in tktvpust. I may alIso state that I was disconnected beI cause it was stated my “sud" was j overdue, but the amount, I may point I out. was forwarded at the proper time ' for which I hold a receipt. —I am, etc., Ct. bevan.
