A steam-roller played the part of a hearse at the funeral at Tunbridge Wells, England, of~ George Trice, who has been employed by the Tunbridge Wells Corporation as a steam-miler driver for 25 years. Often during rds and" especially during the closing days of his last illness, Trice had said that he hoped he might be taken to his grave by the engine which the had driven for so long. Arrangements were made by the. borough surveyor for his wish to be carried out. The coffin was placed in the tender of the. steam-roller, which was then driven from Price’s home in Tunbridge Wells across Rusthall Common to the cemetery, attended by a procession of the corporation employees. -
